1 Mon Jan 18 3.13am  "MAYDAY" call from Eyemouth Fishing Boat "Nova Spera", sinking 21 miles south east of Seahouses. On scene at 4.35am, pumps landed by RAF Helicopter, flooding controlled. Taken in tow by fishing boat "Margaret" to Eyemouth. Escorted by lifeboat, until out of immediate danger. Lifeboat returned to station at 7.30am. Mersey Lifeboat
2 Sun Feb 21 5.21pm Four persons stranded in Refuge Box, Holy Island Causeway. ILB taken by road, two adults in their late 20s, 6yr old girl, & 5 yr old boy landed safely. ILB only
3 Sat Mar 6 4.47pm Two persons reported trapped in a Ford Transit van on Holy Island Causeway. IRB taken by road under police escort. Not required. Two adults and an 8yr old boy winched off by RAF Seaking from Boulmer. Admitted that they had not checked the tidal information. Safe crossing time 0820-1525. ILB only
4 Wed Mar 17 2.17pm Two persons reported trapped on roof of a Landrover, by rising tide on Holy Island Causeway. Winched off by helicopter as ILB arrived on scene. SCT 0551- 1220. ILB only
5 Sun Mar 21 4.05pm Two persons stranded in Refuge Box, Holy Island Causeway. Reported as wet and very cold. ILB sent by sea, landed two. Taken to Berwick Infirmary by ambulance as a precautionary measure. SCT 0859-1456hr. ILB Only
6 Thu May 6 7.53pm Report of Micra car and two occupants stranded on Holy Island Causeway. ILB by road due to foggy weather conditions. Vehicle located by HMCG safe on Holy Island. Had turned back on seeing depth of water. Caller had seen it stationary by refuge box with hazard lights flashing, SCT 21.55 - 0601hr. ILB Only
7 Sat May 8 12.01pm Fishing Boat "Golden Boy II" with gearbox failure, 22 miles off Seahouses in Farn Deeps. Three persons on board. Towed to Berwick Bay (24 Miles) and handed over to Eyemouth Lifeboat, for tow to Eyemouth. Low tide, unable to tow to Seahouses. Mersey Lifeboat
8 Tue Jun 1 10.33pm Fishing Boat " Bright Ray" with rope around propeller, and taking water, 18 miles off Seahouses in Farn Deeps. Three persons on board. Water leak under control, taken in tow to Seahouses. Mersey Lifeboat
9 Thu Jun 17 4.41pm Four Divers off Farne Islands (Wide Opens), search by Lifeboat found them having been carried over a mile north by strong currents in choppy seas, after losing contact with dive boat. Landed four, escorted boat. Both Lifeboats
10 Sat Jul 10 7.40pm Dutch Yacht "Nan" aground rocks on Farne Islands. Located on the Swedman, after search of Kettle, towed off and back to Seahouses in thick fog. 1 POB- very grateful ! Mersey Lifeboat
11 Sun Jul 11 1.10pm Two persons stranded in Refuge Box, Holy Island Causeway. Reported as wet and speaking little English (Hungarians). ILB sent by sea, landed two. Taken to local hotel by police. SCT 04.45-11.49, 17.27-00.20hr. ILB only
12 Thu Jul 24 5.43pm Report of four missing divers from dive boat "Bad Debt", on wreck of Somali off Beadnell. Two found by dive boat and one by ILB. Fourth rescued by local boat Wave Dancer, and transferred to All Weather Lifeboat and landed at Seahouses. Medical attention declined. Escorted dive boat. Both Lifeboats
13 Sat Jul 30 3.23pm Police requested assistance to search the beach area off Bamburgh Castle, for a missing 7yr old boy, missing for over three hours. Area searched by both lifeboats, coastguards, helicopters and police. Boy found safe and well having walked to Seahouses.  Both Lifeboats
14 Sat Jul 31 3.14pm Dive boat "Sea Vision" and one other, with 14 persons aboard, lost in fog off Black Rocks. Bamburgh. Found after search and towed to Seahouses.  Mersey Lifeboat
15 Sat Jul 31 4.40pm  "MAYDAY", from yacht "Baltika", with two persons on board, having hit rocks on Rigg End , Holy Island. Located in fog and towed to Seahouses. Found yacht "Bandrums" also lost in fog, 2 persons on board, escorted boat to Seahouses. Both Lifeboats
16 Fri Aug 6 12.26pm Yacht "Fairwinds" broken down and becalmed ½ mile south of Bamburgh, 1 person on board. Towed by All Weather Lifeboat to Seahouses.  Mersey Lifeboat
17 Fri Aug 6 5.43pm Report from Seahouses boat "Three Sisters" that "Sovereign III" with twelve persons on board, had struck rocks at the Knivestone. Both Lifeboats launched immediately, and the casualty which had freed herself, was escorted back to Seahouses. It is believed that she had suffered damage to her propeller and possibly to her hull. Both Lifeboats
18 Sat Aug 7 4.16pm Report from member of the public that an inflatable with two on board may be in difficulties off Monks House. ILB launched and all found in order - persons fishing. False alarm - Good Intent. ILB Only
19 Sat Aug 7 6.12pm "MAYDAY" from Dive boat "Winalot". Three divers missing at Longstone End. Searched by both lifeboats, Berwick put on standby. Sighted at 7.08pm by helo and ILB. Two landed by lifeboat, one by helo. Search difficult due to choppy sea in tidal flows. Both Lifeboats
20 Sat Aug 14 5.45pm Broken down inflatable sighted off Monks House, Seahouses. Towed to safety by IRB, landed two.  ILB Only
21 Sat Aug 14 8pm Yacht reported aground off Newton Point, by two other yachts. One person on board. Yacht freed itself, and declined assistance. Warned by coastguard re failure to advise of its situation, resulting in a rescue operation being commenced. Both Lifeboats
22 Sun Aug 15 4.47pm Windsurfers in difficulties off Newton Bay. Found safely ashore, landed by passing yacht. Board recovered by lifeboat. Lifeboats at Beadnell flag day. Both Lifeboats
23 Fri Aug 27 3.04pm Pleasure craft "Wee Beastie" broken down and drifting 4 miles south east of Beadnell. IRB towed boat and six persons to Beadnell.  ILB only.
24 Sun Aug 29 2.31pm "PAN PAN" call from yacht "Grisha", with rigging failure 2 miles off Craster. Dive ribs Lady Jennie and Lady Carol also assisting. Towed by lifeboat to Seahouses for repair. One person on board, on passage from Amble to the Kettle. Both Lifeboats
25 Wed Sep 1 1.14pm Coastguard reported a dinghy drifting out to sea off the Islestone Rock, between Seahouses and Bamburgh. Area searched with helo, by ILB. Found that child had got safely ashore.  ILB only.
26 Sat Sep 4 2.28pm Broken down speed boat "Sea Ray" I mile off Beadnell. Towed to safety by ILB, landed two adults and one child.  ILB only.
27 Wed Sep 15 1.58pm Dive Support Boat "Sovereign 2" reported taking water off Big Harcar, Farne Islands - 9 persons on board. Pump taken by All Weather Lifeboat, water cleared and towed vessel to Seahouses. Passengers, 5 adults and three children transferred to Glad Tidings IV and taken ashore.  Mersey Lifeboat
28 Sat Oct 2 11.17am Dive Support Boat "Hope of Life" reporting diver in difficulties at Blue Caps, Farne Islands. One Diver with chest pains. Diver airlifted to Wansbeck Hospital where he later died. Four other divers rescued by lifeboat from the rocks, and brought ashore.  Both Lifeboats
29 Sun Oct 10 2.26pm Dive rib "Deep Blue" broken down off Longstone, Farne Islands. Towed to Seahouses, and landed 8 divers.  Both Lifeboats
30 Fri Oct 29 10pm Small craft seen adrift in Beadnell Bay. Towed to Seahouses by ILB - CG tracing owner.  ILB only.
31 Wed  Dec 1 10.53am Broken down fishing vessel "Bon Amie", with three persons on board, 1 mile off Dunstanburgh, anchor cable broken. Towed to Craster. Mersey Lifeboat
32 Tue Dec 7 8.36am Vessel "Glad Tidings 3" with rope fouling propeller, off Knivestone. At anchor requesting assistance. Two persons on board. Towed by Lifeboat to Seahouses. Mersey Lifeboat
