and very cold. ILB sent by sea, landed two. Taken to Berwick Infirmary by

Dive rib with 5 persons on board (Fell Divers from Newcastle) reported via a
mobile phone to a shore contact that they were broken down with engine
failure and a flat battery. They requested Lifeboat assistance. As the
Lifeboat left the harbour, it came across the casualty under tow. None had
advised the Coastguard ! |

Dive rib "Deep Blue" with 11 persons on board (all from Newcastle Dive
Instructors Club) sent out a "MAYDAY" after hitting rocks, holing their
craft, damaging their engines, and persons reported in the water. Local
boats and Berwick & Seahouses Lifeboats launched, and R.131 helo. Vessel
taken in tow by "Golden Promise" and escorted to Seahouses. No medical
assistance required. |
