3 Mon Apr 24 12.41pm Family of five cut off on Holy Island Causeway, rescued by Inshore Lifeboat. Inshore D Class Lifeboat
4 Tue May 23 11.44am Four persons in vehicle cut off by tide on Holy Island Causeway, winched to safety by RAF Helicopter as Inshore Lifeboat stood by. Inshore D Class Lifeboat
5 Thu May 25 12.52pm Three cars trapped on Holy Island Causeway, 4 adults and 2 children rescued by lifeboat, 3 adults and dog remained in the Refuge Box till the tide dropped. Inshore D Class Lifeboat
6 Sat May 27 4.50pm Yacht capsized, 3 persons in the water, off Holy Island. Casualties picked up another vessel, one airlifted to hospital with hypothermia/heart condition. Yacht recovered by lifeboat. Mersey Lifeboat
7 Sun Jun 04 2.19pm Dive Rib "Emily" with 5 divers aboard requests assistance, after hitting rocks near Longstone Island. Lifeboat gave assistance, but vessel was able to return to Amble unaided. Mersey Lifeboat
8 Tues Jun 06 9.19pm Fishing Trawler "Bright Ray" with engine problems, 19 miles off Seahouses, requests assistance. Towed to Seahouses by Lifeboat. Mersey Lifeboat
9 Sat Jun 10 3.05pm Another car with three passengers, trapped on Holy Island Causeway, attempting to cross contrary to safe crossing times. Lifeboat cancelled on arrival, as persons safe on Holy Island side with Coastguards. Inshore Lifeboat by road with Landrover
10 & 11 Tue Jun 13 4.17am Medical Evacuation of female with suspected broken ankle at Holy Island, ambulance could not cross the Causeway because of the high tide. treated by Lifeboat Crew and brought to Seahouses and transferred to a waiting ambulance, Both Lifeboats
12 Fri Jun 23 1.15pm Two persons from stranded vehicle on Holy Island Causeway, rescued by Lifeboat from Refuge Box. Inshore Lifeboat
13 Tue Jun 27 7.27pm Small boat with engine failure off Beadnell, towed to Beadnell by Lifeboat. Mersey Lifeboat
14 Tue Jul 25 12.14pm Collapsed male rescued from rocks and rising tide outside of Seahouses Harbour Inshore Lifeboat
15 & 16 Sun Jul 30 6.06pm Yacht "Fair Winds" aground on rocks at Castle Point, Holy Island. Escorted to Holy Island Haven by Lifeboat after getting free from the rocks. Both Lifeboats
17 & 18 Wed Aug 02 4.13pm Yacht “Don’t Ask” requests assistance in Newton Haven at moorings in rough seas, having lost its dinghy/tender. Three persons landed safely by Inshore Lifeboat, as All Weather Lifeboat stood by. Both Lifeboats
19 Sun Aug 27 5.25pm Car with 2 adults and 3 children cut off by tide on Holy Island Causeway. All safely rescued by lifeboat. Inshore Lifeboat
20 & 21 Mon Aug 28 10.33am Dive Rib "Moby" with electrical fire. Nine persons rescued, and vessel towed to Beadnell, where fire service and local Coastguards were waiting. Both Lifeboats
22 Fri Sep 08 3.05pm Vehicle with adults and children reported trapped on Holy Island Causeway. Area searched, no trace. False alarm, good intent. Inshore Lifeboat
23 Sat Sep 09 3.35pm Car and female trapped on Holy Island Causeway, female in a distressed condition. Rescued from Refuge box by Lifeboat, and landed safely. Inshore Lifeboat
24 & 25 and again Sep 09 10.29pm Large Scale search for missing female in Holy Island, involving both Seahouses and Berwick Lifeboats, a Police and RAF Helicopters, police and coastguards. Search called off after woman traced to and address in Hartlepool ! (Lifeboat carriage damaged during difficult low water launch-repaired next day) Both Lifeboats
26 & 27 Sun Oct 01 11.46am Seahouses charter boat “Glad Tidings 7” reports a diver aboard had become ill, possible bends. Running short of oxygen. Further oxygen taken by Inshore Lifeboat, casualty passed to All Weather Lifeboat, for winching to Helicopter. Flown to Hull decompression chamber for treatment. Both Lifeboats
28 Sat Nov 18 12.35pm Landrover with 2 passengers stranded on Holy Island Causeway, 2 hours after last safe crossing time - broken down, in 3ft of water. Rescued by RAF Helicoper as lifeboat reached the scene. Inshore Lifeboat
