001 Tue Jan 15 17.50hr Yellow/white flares reported off Dunstanburgh Castle. Area searched. Later traced to military aircraft, false alarm good intent. All Weather Lifeboat
002 & 003 Tue April 01 22.08hr Red flare report, north of Farne Islands. Area searched by both lifeboats and helicopter. Nothing found, false alarm good intent. Both Lifeboats
004 Fri May 09 05.06hr Fishing vessel "Madonna" sinking in harbour at Seahouses. Inshore Lifeboat
005 & 006 Sun May 19 11.31hr Seahouses Lifeboats, Craster Lifeboat, Boulmer non RNLI Rescue Boat, RAF Helicopter and local boats search fro missing diver from wreck of the Somali, between Seahouses and Beadnell. The missing man was not found. Three weeks later, police divers recovered his body beside the wreck site. Both Lifeboats, Craster Inshore Lifeboat and Boulmer Rescue Boat
007 Sun May 19 14.34hr Car and two occupants, one handicapped, trapped on Holy Island Causeway. Inshore Lifeboat diverted from search to Causeway. Cancelled before reaching the scene, and returned to the above search. Incident resolved by local cioastguards and helicopter. Inshore Lifeboat
008 & 009 Sun Jun 08 08.32hr Sail Training Vessel "James Cook" with 17 on board, requests assistance, rope around propeller off Inner Farne Both Lifeboats
10 Tue Jun 10 08.26hr Yacht "Sea Witch" reported adrift and aground at Holy Island Haven. Checked by ILB Crew, no one aboard, towed to pier. Yacht mooring had failed. Inshore Lifeboat
11 Sun Jun 22 04.56hr Yacht “Tara” with rope around propeller at Newton Haven. Tow passed, rope cleared, yacht escorted due to engine problem. All Weather Lifeboat and Craster Inshore Lifeboat
12 & 13 again Jun 22 11.12hr Two canoeists reported overdue at Bamburgh, in worsening sea conditions. Located be RAF Helicopter, and rescued by Lifeboats, landed safely at Seahouses. Both Lifeboats
14 Wed Jun 25 18.30hr Lifeboat diverted from exercise to stand by at Holy Island, as ambulance attempted to cross flooding causeway to evacuate youth with broken arm.  Ambulance safely crossed causeway, lifeboat stood down. All Weather Lifeboat
15 Sun Jul 20 14.22hr Kayak reported adrift (unmanned) in Beadnell Bay. Inshore Lifeboat taken by road to Beadnell and launched. Kayak blown ashore, lifeboat stood down. Inshore Lifeboat
16 Sat Jul 26 07.16hr Vehicle and three persons trapped by tide on Holy Island Causeway. Lifeboat cancelled on arrival, 3 rescued by local coastguards and police. Inshore Lifeboat
17 & 18 Sun Aug 03 16.20hr Two divers reported missing by Dive RIB "Fell Dive", at Longstone End, Farne Islands. Divers recovered as Lifeboats arrived, no medical assistance required. Both Lifeboats
19 Tue Aug 05 17.47hr Tow persona (foreign nationals) trapped on Holy Island Causeway. rescued by Inshore Lifeboat. Inshore Lifeboat
20 & 21 Sun Aug 17 12.31hr Dive RIB "Cardrews" with six persons on board, with engine failure, requests assistance in choppy seas near Farne Islands. Towed to Seahouses by Lifeboat. Two of the divers from the RIB, suffered seasickness. Both Lifeboats
22 Wed Aug 20 23.45hr Vessel "Shannon Rose" with steering failure, north east of Holy Island, 8.5 miles north of Seahouses, with 3 persons on board. Towed to Seahouses by Lifeboat for repair, arriving at 03.05hr. All Weather Lifeboat
23 & 24 Fri Aug 22 07.41hr Dutch Yacht "Windbreker" calls for urgent assistance after running aground at Holy Island. Towed clear by Lifeboats Both Lifeboats
25 Sat Aug 23 14.27hr Dive Charter vessel "Sovereign 3" reports a diver with possible serious head injuries. Inshore Lifeboat crew and ambulance crewman treated casualty on boat. Airlifted to hospital. Inshore Lifeboat
26 & 27 Sun Aug 24 16.44hr Dive RIB "Penine Diver" calls "MAYDAY" after running aground. Call cancelled after boat refloated, no further assistance required. Lifeboats cancelled just prior to launch on slip. Both Lifeboats
28 Tues Aug 26 15.14hr Dive Charter boat "Farne Diver" arriving at Seahouses with an ill diver. Treated by Lifeboat Crew for mild hypothermia. Station Landrover and 2 crew
29 & 30 Tues Sep 02 19.38hr Immediate launch requested to report of persons in difficulties in the water at Beadnell. On arrival, one person recovered from the water by ILB. Crew carried out emergency resuscitation, until arrival of RAF rescue helicopter. Casualty flown to hospital, but was pronounced dead. Our deepest sympathies go to the family and friends of the deceased. Both Lifeboats
31 Sat Sep 06 01.18hr Launched to assist Northumbria Police with persons cut off by floodwater at Budle Bay Caravan Park. Inshore Lifeboat
32 Sat Sep 06 08.24hr Launched to assist owner of pleasure boat “Huntress” after its mooring gave way in the Fluke Hole Moorings during very stormy weather. Vessel recovered safely to inner harbour. North East’ly 55mph. Inshore Lifeboats
33 & 34 Fri Sep 12 19.50hr Launched to assist 20’ angling boat, broken down and drifting in Beadnell Bay. Launch cancelled after vessel was able to restart its engine. Crew remained at immediate readiness until vessel was safely ashore. Both Lifeboats
35 Sun Sep 14 14.49hr Car and two occupants trapped by the rising tide on Holy Island Causeway. Lifeboat recalled en route after casualties waded ashore. Inshore Lifeboat
36 & 37 Sun Sep 21 14.04hr Diver reported missing by his dive buddy off Beadnell Point, to vessel “Farne Discovery”. ALB cancelled on slipway, diver located safely ashore. Inshore Lifeboat proceeded to confirm that he was safe, then returned. Both Lifeboats
38 Sun Oct 05 05.46hr Request from ambulance for assistance re ill woman on Holy Island (high tide - causeway closed). Ambulance crew taken by lifeboat, but woman too ill to move by lifeboat. Helicopter requested, casualty flown to Wansbeck Hospital. All Weather Lifeboat
39 Tue Oct 21 15.41hr Dive RIB “Maria” with 8 diver aboard, struck rock/underwater obstruction off Holy island, engine and steering disabled.  Towed by Lifeboat to Seahouses. All Weather Lifeboat
40 Sun Oct 26 13.18hr Car sighted abandoned in water on Holy Island Causeway. Inshore Lifeboat despatched as a pre cautionary measure, as driver’s whereabouts were unknown – traced fit and well (and wet) in a local pub. Lifeboat cancelled and returned to station. Inshore Lifeboat
41 Thu Oct 30 10.41hr Two persons seen on the sands at Holy Island, near St Cuthbert’s Isle, thought to be cut off by the tide. Lifeboat despatched as a pre cautionary measure, but later cancelled whilst proceeding. The persons were duck shooters, with a punt nearby. False alarm – good intent. Inshore Lifeboat
42 Sat Nov 15 07.33hr Glad Tidings IV taking water in Seahouses Harbour. Pump transferred by station Landrover, and vessel pumped out. Station Landrover and crew.
43 Sun Dec 16 14.20hr Fishing vessel "Heather May" with mechanical problems off Seahouses requests assistance. Escorted to Seahouses. All Weather Lifeboat
44 Wed Dec 17 07.41hr Fishing Vessel "Provider" taking water and pump failed off Craster. Taken in tow to Amble by Seahouses Lifeboat, tow later handed over to Amble Lifeboat. All Weather Lifeboat
