Torpedoed ship "Somali" explodes offshore between Seahouses and Beadnell during World War 2.

Windows were blown out on shore, and Seahouses and Boulmer Lifeboats which were alongside, escaped miraculously with some damage but no serious injury.

Coaster "Rosebank" on fire approx 10 miles south east of Seahouses on 14/12/01.

The crew were uplifted by RAF Helicopter (pilot given bravery award), minutes before lifeboat reached the scene. Lifeboat maintained a safety cordon till arrival of the Royal Navy - cargo of fertiliser dangerous with explosion risk.

Yacht "Erythesia" aground near Holy Island in thick fog on 12/8/03. The vessel was valued at £850,000.

In appreciation for this service, the skipper donated a weather station to Seahouses Lifeboat.

A small disorientated porpoise is helped from Seahouses Harbour by the ILB crew on Fete Day 2002.
