Launch Report 015/2018

INJURED MALE ON ROCKS

At 10:04 hrs on Sunday 9 September 2018 UK Coastguard requested the launch of Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat to the report of an injured man on the rocks to the north of Seahouses. At 10:13 hrs, the same day, Seahouses ILB launched on service and proceeded to the casualty’s location.

On arrival at the scene the ILB crew assisted local Coastguards and North East Ambulance to place the casualty into the ILB, as this was deemed to be the safest option, and then transport him to Seahouses Harbour. On arrival at Seahouses Harbour the casualty was handed over to local coastguards and the ambulance crew.


Launch Report 016/2018

WIND SURFER IN DIFFICULTY OFF BEADNELL

At 13:40hrs the same day, another launch request was received from UK Coastguard to the report of a wind surfer in distress and was drifting out to sea at Beadnell Bay.

At 13:53 hrs the same day Seahouses Inshore Lifeboat launched on service and proceeded to Beadnell Bay. The casualty was located and was assisted back to shore and handed into the care of local coastguards.
