AWARD FOR SEAHOUSES L.O.M.
At the Regional Presentation of Awards on 26 June 2011, held at York Racecourse, Seahouses Lifeboat Operations Manager Ian Clayton  was awarded  a statuette in recognition for his services to the Seahouses Lifeboat Management Group. Ian served on the ALB Crew from 1995 to 2008, when he took over the Operations Manager role from Mr Neil Dixon, following his retirement. Ian also acts as Station Press Officer and Webmaster. Although also currently the Sea Check Volunteer for the station, he hopes to hand on this role to Crewman Tris Owens in the near future. On receiving the Award Ian commented, “This was quite unexpected and an honour for me and the Station. We all work as a team, so its as much the station’s as it’s mine !”
