Look where our old Talus Tractor is now (used to launch and recover our former Mersey Class Lifeboat ON1173 RNLB 12-16 Grace Darling) (also now for sale at the RNLI All Weather Lifeboat Centre, Poole).
The old carriage came from Ramsey (Isle of Man), and has been modified by her new owner, to a passenger carrier for up to 40 persons, towed by T117 at Caldey Island off Tenby in Wales. At very low tides, the ferry from Tenby cannot reach the pier, so TII7 and her modified carriage convey passengers to and from the ferry. A new life indeed.
T117 on the beach in Wales,
her RNLI number still visible,
but RNLI logos removed !
And below, the modified
ex Ramsey carriage now carrying
passengers instead of
a Mersey Lifeboat !

Be Aware of fast moving tides and
currents in the sea. Cold water
shock can kill in the sea and inland
lakes and lochs too -
Don’t be another statistic !
If caught out in deep water, resist the
urge to lash out, lie on your back, limbs
outstretched and FLOAT to live !
A question for you - Why are Lifeboats orange ?
- this video explains !
